Jack Campbell serves Counselor Elliot Swann — authorized by the UAC Board — as personal bodyguard in 2145. A reserved former military sergeant, he fulfills Swann's requests without question and carries serious firepower including a BFG9000.
On Lu Hsun Gates (2141) he appears on the featured personnel roster — a Mercury placement before escorting Swann through the Mars Base crisis.
He dies protecting Swann from the possessed Kelly, urging the Marine to pursue with his last breath.

Background
Campbell appears as Swann's silent, efficient protector through much of Doom 3. He helps block unauthorized transmissions and confronts demonic threats alongside the Counselor.
Possessed Kelly ambushes them; Campbell is mortally wounded and dies telling the Marine to stop Kelly.
