Alignment: Friendly

Fate: Unknown (most likely dead)

Why you bothering me? Can't you see that I am working.— R. Slang to the Marine (Doom 3)

R. Slang is a maintenance worker assigned to Mars City in 2145. The player finds him working on a panel converter alongside J. Kim, discussing Delta Labs rumours and a colleague transferred off Mars.

On Rudaki Power Station (2141) he appears among the featured Doom Fandom personnel — a Mercury placement before his canonical Mars City shift.

If the player keeps talking he gets annoyed; he wants to focus on work. His post-invasion fate is unknown.

Panel converter — Rudaki roster (Personnel log)R. Slang — maintenance, Mars City. Panel converter in the corner, same spot every shift. Why you bothering me? Can't you see that I am working. Kim and I have Delta Labs rumours to compare. Someone got transferred off Mars last week. Nobody says why. We keep wrenching. On Rudaki in '41 the grid noise is worse than Mars City ever was. Same job, louder transformers. Kim calls me Slang, I call him Kim. Leather neck Marines don't get a tour from either of us. If you're on Personnel: full log TBD — for now we're working, not talking.

Background

His fate after the invasion is unknown but he was most likely killed.
