S.L. Medley is a Marine stationed at Marine Command HQ Control in Mars City in 2145. At the start of Doom 3 he communicates with Counselor Elliot Swann's ship and clears it for landing; Dr Betruger instructs him to send Swann directly to him.
On Thakur Cross Service Station (2141) he appears on the featured personnel roster — a forward placement before the player meets him in HQ Control after Sergeant Kelly's first assignment, where he refuses small talk and tells the Marine to complete the mission.
His fate after the invasion is unknown; he was most likely killed.

On Thakur Cross in '41 I'm on the roster before any of that — same post, different year. After Kelly assigns the Ishii job, Marines find me in HQ Control. I don't chat — do your mission. Background
Medley is seen at the beginning of Doom 3 on comms with Swann's vessel. After Kelly's first briefing the player can find him in HQ Control — busy, uninterested in conversation.
His fate is unknown though he was most likely killed during the demon invasion.
The Thakur Cross roster entry in 2141 is fan fiction that predates his canonical appearance.
