Master Sergeant Kelly sits at the top of the enlisted chain at UAC Mars Base in 2145 — stern, decorated, and the Marine's primary objective-giver through much of Doom 3.
On Thakur Cross Service Station (2141) he appears among the featured UAC personnel roster — a forward echo of the sergeant who will later greet the transferred Marine at Mars City, assign the Ishii retrieval, command through the outbreak, and ultimately fall to possession as the cybernetic Sabaoth.

Background
Kelly operates from Marine HQ at the UAC Mars Base. A decorated veteran with a seasoned military background, he is respected for leadership and discipline — encouragement for performers, harsh duties for failures.
Through Doom 3 he assigns the Ishii mission, coordinates the outbreak response, directs the Enpro transmission card recovery, and later ambushes Swann and Campbell as a possessed commander wielding a BFG9000 before his final confrontation as Sabaoth.
The Thakur Cross reference in 2141 is fan fiction that predates his canonical 2145 role — it does not alter official lore.
