Giriprasad Dinakar is a minor character in the Doom: Mercury Rising campaign. He is a SolarRail wagon propulsion specialist who joined an Indian pirate crew for personal reasons — a technician, not a bloodthirsty raider.

The player finds his body at Thakur Cross Service Station, slumped among the orange service-dock pipes. Beside him is his PDA: a raw personal note from the heat as he dies of thirst — suit reclaimer ruined, reclaim water undrinkable, and Cartic Chauhan's vending ban leaving him with nothing he can stomach.

• The PDA subtitle quotes Samuel Taylor Coleridge's The Rime of the Ancyent Marinere (1798 Lyrical Ballads text): “Water, water, every where, / Ne any drop to drink.” Later editions often use “Nor”; popular culture often misquotes it.
