Doom 3
J. Yezback is Mars-Sec personnel stationed at Mars City, assigned to guard the security door leading to the Administration facility, armed with a standard-issue Machine Gun.
When the player meets him, he denies clearance to enter Administration and advises going to Marine HQ. If the player keeps talking, he grows annoyed and eventually snaps: “God dammit, Marine, get outta here!”
Shortly after the demonic invasion, a Machine Gun–wielding Z-Sec is found fighting an operational Sentry Bot where Yezback stood guard — suggesting he turned into a Zombie.
Trivia
- His escalating annoyance may be an obscure nod to Half-Life's Black Mesa Announcement System: in the Hazard Course, repeatedly trying a restricted area without approval eventually makes the announcer snap.
