Trivia

The PDA opens with Mr Yeez — likely a (possibly mocking) nickname the circle uses for J. Yezback. Morton also names Yezback later as someone who might “even enjoy” the proposed method.
The circle meets in high-voltage / rail-tunnel EM blind spots so eavesdropping is difficult; implants and pacemakers are a hard exclusion.
His name refers to Matt Morton, a voice performer credited on Doom 3, Doom 3: BFG Edition, and Doom 3 VR. S. Holmes (Steve Holmes) has also publicly acknowledged outstanding work by Matt Morton in game development. Any resemblance is coincidental and used as a respectful fan nod.
